 Position: Wood Bat Production Supervisor
FLSA Status: Exempt
Reports To: Plant Manager
Location: Louisville 

Position Summary: 

Acts as the floor supervisor for production staff. Maintains departmental day-to-day production activities, monitors and prioritizes workflow and scheduling. Ensure finished bats are in compliance with Louisville Slugger standards and ensure fulfillment goals. Implements and executes an inventory replenishment system ensuring proper levels of materials at all wood bat work stations. 

Essential Functions: 

· Supervises production staff and gives technical direction as required.

· Works closely with Wilson Pro Bat Sales to communicate production outputs.

· Follows wood bat production and quality control plans.

· Efficiently executes wood bat production plan to minimize downtime and company costs and to meet production and delivery deadlines.

· Monitor production process and implement process improvements. 

· Tracks attendance and verifies work hours for all production employees.

· Interacts frequently with factory production employees to verify materials availability. 

· Responsible for accurate inventories of materials.

· Compares and verifies scheduled versus produced bat production and identifies improvement opportunities.

· Maintains a clean and safe working environment.

· Performs other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned. 

Requirements

Qualifications: 

· Bachelor’s Degree 

· Two plus years of experience in manufacturing role.

· Proficient in MS Excel and MS Word. 

· Strong understanding of financial statements and implications for operations and planning.

· Strong communications skills.

· Experience working with a union environment a plus.

· Successfully managed other team members directly or indirectly

· Effective time management skills
