Hillcrest Health Services is currently seeking a Bereavement Coordinator for our hospice team in the Omaha area. The Bereavement Coordinator is responsible to oversee all bereavement services for Hillcrest Hospice.Our goal at Hillcrest is to enhance the lives of aging adults. What are my responsibilities?Develop, enhance and deliver Hospice Bereavement programming for all individuals who elect to receive it while managing the day to day operations of the program. Assess the bereaved individual’s mental health needs and conduct internal counseling support as appropriate. The use of external referral sources is available for ongoing counseling needs. Provide grief support and education using individual, group and family support techniques to the bereaved and community partners. Utilize all forms of contact such as mailings, email, phone, letters, etc. to provide ongoing bereavement support throughout the duration of the bereavement program. Coordinate bereavement activities such as Annual Memorial Service and other community education. Support Hospice team members that have bereavement questions with current patient/families. What do I need to be considered?STAR mentality (Selfless, Tough, Accountable, Respectful).
