Job Description
HII Mission Technologies Division is seeking a General Maintenance Worker in support of a large Operations and Maintenance Contract within Mission Technologies.
Positions will be based at global Army training sites around the world. This position is contingent upon contract award.
Essential Job Responsibilities

• Performs general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities including plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, and other GFP systems. Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair.
• Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs, plans repair work using equipment manuals, as needed.
• Performs routine maintenance and general repairs that do not require a specialized technician.

Minimum Qualifications
High School education, or Trade School or equivalent, and 2 years of related experience. Prefer technical/professional certifications. Must provide own hand tools as designated per trades specialty.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift, carry and transport heavy equipment and boxes. The exact weight requirements will be determined by the specific job, but no less than 30 lbs. Able to work on and climb ladders, work in extreme temperature environments, aboard ships, in shipyards, under industrial conditions and in confined spaces. Able to perform other duties as required which may involve high heat, humidity, noise and dirty conditions, working aloft or over the sides of vessels. May ride ships at sea for extended periods. May require wearing a respirator. Travel may be required within and outside of the continental United States.
