Requisition Number: 13566 Required Travel: 0 - 10% Employment Type: Full Time/Salaried/Exempt Hours Per Week: 40 Security Clearance: Secret Level of Experience: Mid Who We Are For over a century, HII has built and maintained the U.S. Navy's most powerful warships. Join us as we continue to maintain the Navy's readiness. Become a member of a team of subject matter experts to assist the TYCOM Maintenance Program Manager (MPM) to assess the progress of work during CVN Shipyard Industrial availabilities. Investigate issues which are putting work into a stop or delay status and reporting that to the MPM so it can be addressed by the project team in a timely manner. The goal of this effort is to reduce schedule delays and support an on-time delivery of the ship. What You Will Do * Prepares and coordinates the plans and schedules for new or existing programs. Determines, monitors, and reviews costs, operational budgets and schedules, and manpower requirements.
* Supports and participates in negotiations with customer. Analyzes effects of projects upon various areas such as Engineering, Facilities, and the labor pool to determine the most practical and cost-efficient methods to obtain the required resources.
* Resolves proposal preparation problems and assesses the progress against established plans and parameters.
* Formulates and recommends corrective action measures such as schedule revisions, manpower adjustments, fund allocations, and work requirements.
* The selected candidate will provide technical support for availability planning, execution, and development of Ship's Force work packages and overall Depot Availability Work integration and scheduling onboard Aircraft Carriers. * Provide training, recommendations, and guidance to Ship's Force personnel in industrial availability management, work package development and Ship's Force Production Teams' composition and tracking. * Develop and maintain availability measures of effectiveness.
What You Must Have * 6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.
* Candidate must have experience in a Senior role in Combat Systems Department equipment, systems and maintenance procedures on a CVN.
* Must have a strong background associated with the shipboard systems and must have experience on the Availability project team.
* Must have a strong technical writing ability and proven capability to communicate effectively to all levels of the Chain of Command.
* Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access).
* Must be a US Citizen.
* Must have a valid, DoD secret clearance.
Preferred: Bonus Points For... * Candidates with a valid, DoD secret clearance or higher. Physical Requirements May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
