The Director of Nursing is responsible for overseeing the nursing department including (but not limited to):
• Overseeing all nursing department activities, including the management and oversight of nurse managers, supervisors, nurses, and CNAs
• Reporting to the facility adminsitrator
• Maintaining high standards of care for all residents
• Managing patients’ data and medical records as confidential records
• Communicating with doctors, patients and family members about patient health
• Recruiting, training and onboarding new nursing staff
• Providing ongoing education to nursing team
• Implementing current and new processes and procedures and training Nurses on policies
• Ensuring strict compliance with all applicable regulations
• Fostering a warm, safe, and comfortable living and working environment for facility residents and staff
