What you will be doing:
In the role of Medicaid Program Specialist 1, you will be working in the Operations unit to provide direct support to Alaska Medicaid. Your primary responsibilities would include managing the department's vision contract, which involves providing glasses to Alaska Medicaid members. Additionally, you would be responsible for serving as the department's representative for member services, providing assistance related to eligibility and claims to Alaska Medicaid members.

The working environment you can expect: The current work environment is two days in the office for team interaction and three days teleworking from your home. Work hours are between 8 am and 5 pm, and team members have the flexibility to choose the schedule that works best for them. Onsite workdays are located at 4601 Business Park Blvd, Bldg. K is in Anchorage, which is central for shopping, restaurants, and commuting. Free parking is also available. Laptops, monitors, and a docking station are provided for home operations.

Experience such as supporting the administration of a Medicaid or Medicare program, health insurance service, health insurance management information system, health insurance finance or accounting program, Supplemental Security Income benefits or vocational rehabilitation program; auditing or monitoring medical or public assistance programs for fraud or quality assurance; processing medical claims using medical coding and medical billing knowledge and/or training or education which includes such course work as business administration, computer sciences, economics, healthcare, legal studies, medical billing or coding, public health, public assistance, psychology.
