Highline Public Schools is seeking a Specialist to join their Professional Learning team beginning in September. This person will provide overall support to the Peer Mentor team in three programs:
National Board Certifications (NBCT)
Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) educator support
Educational Staff Associate (ESA) support
SUMMARY: The Central Office Specialist is an accomplished teacher who serves in a leadership role at the system level. A specialist provides expert consultation through facilitating collaboration, instructional coaching, and serving as a system leader across a variety of roles. The Central Office Specialist sees their ongoing learning and development as essential to achieve equitable results for all students. The CTE Specialist will provide visionary leadership for development and sustainability of the mentoring and internship programs and associated career readiness activities. This position will work collaboratively with administration, school staff, STEM professionals, and the district’s CTE Director to develop an exemplary work-based/career readiness program. Preferred Qualifications:
National Board Certification
Experience with program implementation, systems work - ability to facilitate and sustain programs long-term
Experience facilitating professional learning for adults
