The Nursing Professional Development Specialist is responsible for the development of Nursing education, Nursing professional development structure and programming to advance employee skill and knowledge to support achievement of Nursing Department and strategic organizational objectives. Included are structures and processes for provision of continuing education and advancement programs for nursing clinical and non-clinical staff, and assuring compliance with regulatory standards.
PAY RANGE: $88,400-$107,000

• The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required, Masters in Education, Organizational Development or related field required.

2. Experience: 3-5 years of Organizational Development and/or Nursing Education Experience Required.

3. License/Certification Required: BSN; must be licensed as an RN in NYS

4. Skills: Excellent interpersonal, verbal and teamwork skills. Highly developed leadership and management skills essential to effectively supervise a large number of employees. Ability to work productively and effectively in a complex environment, handle multiple/changing priorities. Skills to conduct needs assessment and develop programs in response.
