Position overview:

The Education Coordinator’s primary purpose is to mentor, coach and guide classroom staff to offer high quality early care and education within the UPK / EPK classrooms.

Essential responsibilities:

• Observe classroom staff and give direction and feedback
• Serve as classroom teacher when needed
• Provide support to help ensure that the lesson plans are being completed and carried out
• Monitor to ensure ongoing communication between teachers and families
• Visit classrooms regularly to make sure that children's needs are met and that developmentally appropriate content is being delivered

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related
• Thorough knowledge of UPK programming
• 2 years experience mentoring staff in ECE programming
• Strong leadership skills
