Essential responsibilities:

• Plan and implement the daily classroom program as directed by the School District and Generations
• Monitor each child’s development and plan programming to maximize skill development
• Communicate regularly with families to exchange information about child’s development
• Use a variety of teaching techniques including modeling, observing, demonstrating, open-ended questioning and reinforcing
• Offer leadership to assistant teacher and other co-workers throughout the center

In 1993, Generations started in a single location within the Gates community. We have since grown to include six centers around Rochester. Requirements

• Warm and caring personality
• Team player who is willing to be flexible on assignments
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood or related field; or substantial years of experience in center based child care required
• NY State Teaching Certificate (Birth - Grade 2)
• At least 2 years of program experience, required
