The academic advisors serves as a primary resource for students in academic advising and academic support. The advisor holistically guides students to plan, learn, reflect, and engage in the world in ways appropriate for their educational path, career, and personal development and serves as key member of the academic support team providing targeted assistance with academic success coaching and support.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
9. Contribute to the success of the department by completing all other duties as needed to promote the vision, fulfill the mission, and abide by the values of the College.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
1.Master’s degree preferred; bachelor’s degree required.
2.2 years academic advising or closely related experience.
3.Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills (particularly in working with a diverse student population), and organizational skills are required.
4.Computer literacy, including Word processing, Excel spreadsheets and database management are required.
