Job Description Job Description The Lead Residential Designer coordinates with other members of the Architectural Design team, and is responsible for creating high quality construction drawings and presentations for both small and large scale residential remodeling and custom home projects. The Lead Residential Designer's goal is to thoroughly understand our clients tastes and vision (and in cases where that isnt clear, to help them discover what that is), then develop a design plan accordingly that aligns with the budget.Mission:HighCraft Builders provides exceptional customer service, award-winning design, superior craftsmanship, and a highly personal approach with every remodel and new construction project we touch. We strive to maintain the highest level of professionalism, honesty and fairness in our relationships with our clients, employees and partners.Primary Tasks & Expectations:1. Manage multiple residential remodeling and new construction projects during the design phase2. Perform site measures and create as-built drawings3. Develop design options and make revisions throughout each project4. Independently set-up, produce and develop plans, elevations, sections, and 3D models (including mechanical and electrical requirements) for construction5. Review structural plans and coordinate with engineers6. Work with interior design and architectural team to ensure consistency of the design concept7. Contribute to the entire creative process, keeping a finger on the pulse of current trends8. Navigate City/County approval and permitting processes9. Navigate Homeowners Association approval processes10. Manage/prioritize deadlines and determine importance of tasks11. Track budget and scheduling updates as they relate to the plans12. Ensure an optimal first impression and cultivate and nurture each professional relationship with a long-term view of success13. Assist with client relations throughout life of the projectExperience1. Minimum 4-year undergraduate degree with BS or BA in Architecture2. Minimum of 5 years working in architecture, 3 of which at a minimum in residential3. Proficiency in Revit, Enscape and Photoshop4. Experience working directly with homeowners from concept through Construction DocumentsRequired Skills & Competencies1. Strong working knowledge of Revit2. Strong working knowledge of Enscape3. Working knowledge of Photoshop4. Ability to receive instruction and execute with precision, positive attitude, sense of accountability.1. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in the production of all drawings and documents2. Understanding of building materials and construction methods3. Knowledge of procedures for production of construction documents4. Understanding of Colorado residential building codes and land use codes5. Understanding of residential construction costs6.
