- State of Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) as a school psychologist.
- Master's, Educational Specialist or Doctorate degree with a major in School Psychology.
- Strong background in testing and measurement.
- Experience in counseling and crisis intervention.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cooperatively with parents and members of our community.
- Experience working with special education students.
- Assist in completing the Special Education domain and eligibility process.
- Serve as Local Education Agency Representative at IEP meetings.
- Conduct diagnostic psychological testing and write social-developmental histories.
- Write IEP goals and provide counseling minutes for students.
- Assist teams in developing behavior intervention plans for General Education and Special Education students.
- Write initial 504 Plans and provide case management.
- Provide intervention assistance to students, families and staff.
- Provide consultation services to the Student Services team, teachers, and administration.
- Create intervention plans with Division Head – Student Success, Safety & Wellness.
- Provide classroom- based interventions/presentations in collaboration with teachers.
- Implement evidenced based group counseling curriculum.
- Assist in coordinating post-secondary transition support for students.
- Serve as building Homeless Liaison along with APSS.
- Lead an intervention team of counselors, case managers, and administrators.
