English and Media 1.0 FTE Qualifications:
State of Illinois high school certification (09) and endorsement in English
Experience with Multimedia and live streaming preferred
Experience with Journalism preferred
State of Illinois endorsement in English as a Second Language or Bilingual preferred
Masters in Communications preferred and able to teach dual credit College Speech
Masters in English preferred and able to teach dual credit College Composition 101
Experience and trained to teach AVID classes
Academically prepared to teach courses in literature and composition
Ability to teach courses at various academic levels
Ability to directly instruct reading and college readiness skills
Willingness to support building co-curricular activities as a coach, or sponsor
Commitment to working with an interdisciplinary or integrated team: designing, implementing, and refining curriculum
Commitment to working with a coordinated curriculum that targets external assessment in the design and delivery of its content
Proficiency in the use of instructional and multimedia technologies
