Overview:

This Retail Associate (HiFi Curator) dispenses hemp flower and other legal cannabis products for orders received behind the bud bar. This position requires entry cannabis knowledge, superior customer service, and multitasking while efficiently filling orders and interacting with clients. A HiFi Curator also assists HiFi budtenders and management with opening/closing procedures, dispensary access, inventory control, and other duties as assigned. The ideal candidate arrives to work on time, well-groomed, and ready to present themselves in a way that repels public stereotypes of cannabis. This is a full-time (30 hours/week) position with mandatory weekends.

Probationary Period: 3 months, including 1 month training
Training Pay Rate: $14/hour
Standard Pay Rate: $14/hour plus additional monthly team bonus

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Pick merchandise required to fulfill customer orders.
• Wear vinyl gloves while filling orders.
• Clean the store and ensure products are properly displayed before the store opens.
• Remove merchandise from boxes, and dispose of empty boxes and packaging.
• Inspect new and picked merchandise for damage and other problems.
• Print price tags or labels and apply them to merchandise.
• Fill shelves and other display fixtures with products.
• Manage and maintain the storage conditions of goods received.
• Organize merchandise on shelves and restock them when they become empty.
• Safely package merchandise for shipment.
• Verify shipment contents against packing lists to ensure order accuracy.
• Welcome and engage with customers as they enter the store.
• Ensure all entering guests meet security requirements.
• Direct customer complaints to management.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent
• Two-year history of consistent work
• Entry cannabis knowledge, including legality of hemp-derived products in Texas
• Integrity
• Customer service skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and busy environment
• Flexibility and ability to work under pressure
• Adequate stamina to move about throughout most of a shift
• Ability to stand for long hours and be able to lift heavy merchandise
• Listening skills to understand and follow instructions
• Observation skills to notice flaws, read expiration dates, and spot other signs of aged or damaged merchandise
• Excellent attention to detail
