Higginbotham is Hiring a Consumer Driven Health Plan (CDHP) Customer Service Representative Near Richardson, TX

Higginbotham, a privately held, independent insurance and financial services firm that ranks within the top 20 nationwide, has an immediate opening for a CDHP Customer Service Representative for our Richardson, TX office.

The ideal candidate will be motivated to succeed, well organized, able to prioritize the workload, and able to work well within the CDHP Team. The CDHP Customer Service Representative is a liaison for plan participants providing assistance through both verbal and written communication to give guidance and solutions for the management of their consumer driven health plans (FSA, DCFSA, LPFSA, HRA, and Commuter) managed by Higginbotham’s CDHP Team.

Responsible for addressing plan participant inquiries via email, fax, telephonic, or written correspondence according to Internal Revenue Services (IRS) guidelines.

Essential Tasks:

  • Take inbound calls and makes outbound calls as needed.
  • Analyzes participant inquiries to determine appropriate steps for resolution.
  • Performs review of account information to ensure accurate data is represented on participants account
  • Works directly with internal department and management for resolution of Customer Service inquiries
  • Able to accurately communicate with participants in written and verbal format
  • Maintain detailed archived notes for participant claims reimbursed through a CDHP
  • Assist participants with online portal set-up and inquires
  • Order replacement benefit cards when requested
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication, verbal, written and organizational skills
  • Prior knowledge of Flexible Spending Accounts, Dependent Care Reimbursement Accounts, Health Reimbursement Arrangements, and Commuter accounts is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • CDH Plan interpretation, medical terminology and coding knowledge
  • Proficiency with Microsoft. Strong technical skills with ability to work across multiple software systems

Experience and Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior help desk experience providing client services support to external customers
  • Troubleshooting skills to tackle a problem using a logical, systematic, sequential approach
  • Proven ability to resolve challenging issues in a timely manner
  • Quick learner, self-directed, motivated, have strong dedication and commitment level to the tasks at hand
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, team environment with the ability to be minimally supervised
  • Must have a great attitude, be willing to learn and increasingly strive to improve
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational and time management skills with the ability to research and provide accurate details
  • Strong technical skills with the ability to work across multiple software systems
