Higginbotham Brothers is Hiring a Remote Inside Sales Representative

Higginbotham Brothers dates to 1881, when the company opened its first general store in Texas. Today, Higginbotham Brothers supplies professional builders, remodelers and do-it-yourselfers with lumber and a deep catalog of specialty building products, including hardware, windows, doors, plumbing materials and interior/exterior paint, from its 40 locations across Texas and Oklahoma.

Pay Rate: $20.00/hr.
Position Overview
The In side Sales R ep resentative assists with new and exist in g customer sales and provides product support to outside sales representatives. This position provides quotes and product dimension in formation, both in person and over the phone.
Essential Job Duties
  • Respond to customer in quiries regard in g product selection, placement of orders, prices and quotations, compla in ts, and schedul in g of deliveries and in stallations.
  • In itiate telephone calls to customers to generate sales.
  • Obta in orders from customers and sales representatives; enter work order, credit return, return authorization, pick ticket, and service request; file paperwork accord in gly.
  • Coord in ate purchase and delivery of special products. Obta in s in formation on pric in g specifications, uses and availability.
  • Manage schedules for project by coord in at in g with outside sales, jobsites, and assigned customers.
  • Check on back orders and resolve any outstand in g issues; solve bill in g problems and compile data for clos in g.
  • Handles special orders and advanced pric in g; assist with pric in g and special price lists.
  • Develop and grow professional relationships with customers.
  • Resolve jobsite issues and customer problems.
  • Comply with Company's attendance policy by ma in ta in in g regular and predictable attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by location management.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • M in imum education required - High School Diploma or GED.
  • M in imum experience required - 1 year in build in g material in dustry with basic knowledge of product and application. 1 years In side Sales experience preferred.
  • Special skills required - Ability to operate computer, calculator & cash register. Knowledge of build in g supplies, applications, related equipment, and/or construction in dustry. Good in terpersonal and customer relations skills and excellent oral and written communication skills. Should be familiar with in ventory and in ventory control.
  • Must be able to walk throughout yards, plants, and offices.
  • Physical demands in clude stand in g and walk in g for extended periods of time, bend in g or stoop in g, and occasionally lift in g up to 50 pounds.
