Overview:

Hidden Oaks K-8 School is seeking a passionate and qualified Kindergarten Teacher to join our vibrant learning community for the 2024-2025 school year.

Responsibilities:

• Create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment that fosters intellectual, social, and emotional growth in young children.
• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with state and national standards, incorporating a variety of engaging instructional methods (e.g., hands-on activities, play-based learning, technology integration).
• Effectively teach core subjects including reading, writing, math, science, and social studies.
• Assess student progress through ongoing observations, formative assessments, and data analysis.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement a cohesive curriculum.
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians, providing regular updates on student progress and fostering positive relationships.
• Manage student behavior by establishing clear expectations and implementing a positive classroom management system.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Florida State Teacher Certification in Early Childhood Education (Birth-Grade 3) or eligibility to obtain one.
• Minimum of 2 years of successful teaching experience in a kindergarten setting (preferred).
• Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching methodologies for young learners.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
• Passion for fostering a love of learning in young children.
• Proficiency in using technology tools to support instruction.
