Physicians provide a comprehensive range of primary and specialty care services at the 333-bed hospital and outpatient facilities both on and off of the Eskenazi Health downtown campus including at a network of Eskenazi Health Center sites located throughout Indianapolis.

Job Role Summary

The Talent Sourcer will support the Talent Acquisition Consultants to source talent by employing proactive recruiting techniques to find and identify skilled candidates both active and passive. The Talent Sourcer is responsible for planning, generating and managing an aggressive sourcing strategy that will proactively address targeting qualified candidates, building talent pipelines, difficult to fill positions and nursing vacancies, in order to consistently ensure market competitiveness. In addition, the Talent Sourcer will have clear organizational and market awareness, address inbound and outbound sourcing and creatively make them work in unison, all while; selecting the proper talent channels, and building upon leads by attending networking events, cold calling and creating a resourceful college campus recruitment strategy.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Builds a solid sourcing strategy and college campus recruitment plan; identifies the strengths and weaknesses of current and ongoing sourcing strategy and consistently optimizes the process
  • Develops and executes sourcing strategies to generate candidate flow and pipelines, to meet overall talent acquisition goals and planning for future organization attrition and turnover
  • Daily interaction with potential candidates on social media and social networks (e.g. Linkedin, Glassdoor, really, CareerBuilder) and crafting and sending recruiting emails
  • Identify quality candidates profiles using various sourcing techniques such as, Boolean search
  • Monitors trends and developments in sourcing tools and technologies and utilizes social media for sourcing and other marketing forums to drive traffic to our open opportunities
  • Introduces experimental search techniques, feedback and trends to Talent Acquisition Division Team
  • Conducts extensive sourcing of passive candidates through research, relationship building, complex internet searches, and talent pool database searching; Manages postings on various job boards, social media streams, colleges and universities
  • Documents and catalogs potential candidates for open searches and proactively builds pipelines of talent for future needs through cold calling/e-mailing, professional networking, resume mining, social media, etc.
  • Builds and manages the Candidate Relationship database, tracks relevant sourcing metrics and generates reports
  • Meets with staff on a regular basis to collaborate on optimum approaches to strengthen talent pipelines
  • Manages/updates candidates in various systems - applicant tracking system, databases, etc. and provides weekly activity reports; Measures conversion rates, including numbers of passive candidates who turn into applicants, get invited to interviews, get offers and get hired; Tracks applicant sourcing for both applicants and hired employees; produces monthly reports to show trends
  • Communicates with past applicants regarding new opportunities
  • Qualifies and screens prospective candidates
  • Vets vendors, makes recommendations and presents a clearly defined case study regarding industry specific platforms to utilize with clear definition of requirements and the end goal

Job Requirements

An Associate's Degree in human resources, business or related degree plus at least three (3) years of experience. A Bachelor's degree preferred. Five (5) years full life-cycle recruitment experience or equivalent work experience, with a strong emphasis on talent sourcing may substitute.

  • Knowledge of Federal and State employment laws and regulations
  • Previous Healthcare recruitment experience preferred, with prior sourcing experience in both executive search firm and corporate settings required
  • Advanced research and sourcing skills, with minimal reliance on job postings - including the use of Boolean search techniques, extensive networking, LinkedIn, user group lists, industry-specific online professional networks, forums and social media
  • Highly adept at proactive methods/processes for finding and attracting passive talent for crucial openings and talent pools
  • Intuitively proficient in primary and secondary sourcing strategies
  • Advance proficiency in Microsoft Office and applicant tracking systems

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • High-level skills in verbal and written communication and interviewing techniques
  • Use of standard office equipment required; high proficiency of word processing, database management and spreadsheets highly desirable
  • Must be knowledgeable of health profession licensure and certification requirements, labor laws, corporate and departmental policies/procedures and personnel procedures
  • Ability to prioritize work and devise own work patterns/methods, be flexible to changing priorities, exercise good judgment, work effectively with students/health care professionals and wide variety of others
  • Participates in long range planning for recruitment purposes, work with minimal supervision, be detail-oriented; maintain confidentiality of information, display mature problem solving skills
  • Ability to use age-appropriate communication skills
  • Working knowledge of healthcare services and understanding employment laws
  • Proven work experience as a Talent Sourcer or similar role
  • Hands on experience with sourcing techniques (e.g. recruiting on social platforms and crafting Boolean search strings)
  • Ability to positively present our company and open roles to potential candidates
