EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in scientific field (i.e., Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, etc.) - Earned or In Progress
  • Laboratory experience (required)
DESCRIPTION: As a Laboratory Technician, you will:
  • conduct laboratory tests and other processes in accordance with prescribed standard operating procedures (after completing requisite demonstrations of capability);
  • develop familiarity with the laboratory’s quality management system and complete all trainings required by that system (e.g., data integrity training);
  • assist with the preparation of reagents and materials used by the laboratory;
  • assist with data entry and record-keeping for the laboratory;
  • occasionally mobilize to collect water samples from various facilities by following written protocols (in accordance with contract specifications);
  • take field measurements of water (pH, temperature, etc.);
  • record data carefully and completely;
  • be able climb stairs and walk at least 3 miles per day (during field work);
  • be able to lift at least 50 lbs.;
  • perform other duties as assigned.
TRAVEL:Occasional travel both in-state and out-of-state
COMPENSATION
  • Base: $20.19 per hour
  • Health and Welfare: $4.22 per hour - An allowance used to purchase medical benefits and/or deposit into a retirement account.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must have a driver's license and clean driving record
  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position
