Hexagon PPM is Hiring a Payroll analyst Near Madison, AL

Responsibilities

Hexagon Asset Lifecycle Intelligence division (Hexagon) is seeking to hire a Payroll Analyst . This role is based in the Hexagon office in Madison, AL, however, working remote is available to qualified candidates.

Working from the Madison office is required a couple times a month, or as needed, therefore the candidate must be within a 50 miles of the Hexagon office in Madison, AL.

  • Enter, maintain, and verify information in the payroll / financial systems.
  • Process timesheets for posting to labor distribution, financial ERP, and payroll systems.
  • Ensure payroll deductions, taxes, garnishments, tax gross ups and earnings codes are correct in the ADP Payroll system.
  • Process new hire and terminating employees.
  • Ensure the accuracy of PTO accruals.
  • Prepare the wire request for payroll funding, ACH debit request and check request.
  • Prepare monthly payroll journal entries and corresponding backup.
  • Reconcile payroll tax accounts.
  • Respond to employee email concerning payroll questions.
  • Process the bi-weekly payroll using ADP Work Force Now (WFN). Have a good understanding of the reports that are generated from the ADP for the bi-weekly payroll, monthly, quarterly & yearly reporting.
  • Candidates will exercise judgement within defined guidelines, require minimal supervision and assistance on routine work, and detailed instructions on new assignments.
  • Additional payroll related duties to provide documentation, reports, information as needed.
  • Maintain employee confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or 3 years of payroll experience
  • Solid understanding of multi-state payroll
  • Background using garnishments and various withholdings
  • Use of ADP Work Force Now preferred
  • Use of Microsoft Great Plains preferred, but not required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products : Excel, Word
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be located wtihin a 50 miles of Madison, AL
