You will work in the HPE Storage Networking group that develops and markets a broad portfolio of storage area network fabrics including Fibre Channel and Ethernet Fabric switching products with differentiated software as a service components. HPE Storage Networking is a critical business unit that provides validated solutions that sit at the epicenter of HPE storage and compute ecosystems. You will direct and oversee complex and emerging software and hardware engineering activities. You will be part of delivering product and solution that tightly integrates with HPE Greenlake and lead through the technical transformation. You have a track record of delivering best of breed SaaS Platforms and products, networking hardware, as well as qualification centers of excellence. you will manage a large department within a multifaceted storage product delivery organization. You’ll develop engineering strategy and sets policy/direction. You will be responsible for operational success, strategic alignment, and integration of activities with other major organizational functions. You’ll be fully accountable for the delivery of Storage Networking Division engineering projects and assumes responsibility for the successful implementation of products and services. You will act as a key technology advisor to executive management in influencing the strategic engineering direction of the business.

Core responsibilities include:

• Own and execute the storage networking fabric and connectivity engineering strategy for the HPE Storage Networking group.
• Drive market leadership for NVMe technologies and scale-out ethernet architectures within the HPE Storage portfolio
• Technically sound and knowledgeable about networking technologies – L2/L3 wired network protocols, TCP/IP communications, Fibre Channel, RDMA, NVMe.
• Mastery of SAN environments, understand how customers use fabrics, their process and technology problems.
• Expert in SaaS Agile / DevOps principles and practices including automated test, incremental design, and architecture
• Familiarity with cloud native, software defined development standards and methods as well as cloud infrastructure and platforms.
• Ability to drive culture of quality, personal accountability, and strong relationships.
• Comfortable in ambiguity, flexible and open to change
• Drive adoption of the HPE Storage Networking portfolio across fiber channel and ethernet solutions for data intensive workloads and architectures
• Collaborate with other engineering delivery groups within Storage, Compute and Greenlake to provide full-stack solutions and “-as-a-Service” consumption and management model inclusive of the HPE Storage Networking product portfolio.
• Manage internal and external technology partner engineering relationships for the storage networking product portfolio
• Travel to customer sites, escalation locations and trade shows to directly support our technical customers, sales, and technical marketing initiatives.

Core Skills Needed:

• 10 years related engineering experience in the IT industry, with relevant experience in the enterprise storage networking and data management infrastructure market segments
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, MIS or equivalent experience. Masters in the same desired.
• Experience with “as-a-Service” consumption and management models with a proven track record of delivering SaaS applications and services
• Strong technical capacity to understand HPE products.
• Understanding of and experience with technology suppliers and OEM relationships.
• Exceptional presentation skills to demanding technical and/or decision maker audiences
