NaaS Product Line Manager

This role has been designated as ‘Edge’, which means you will primarily work outside of an HPE office.

Job Description:

The Aruba Global Services team is currently recruiting for a Senior Product Manager role. We are seeking an experienced Product Manager who wants to be a part of a fast-paced and challenging environment. Our ideal candidate will develop and execute the roadmap for building out the customer experience for Greenlake NaaS Services, aligned to our vision for edge to cloud networking. Additionally, this individual will drive the broad adoption of NaaS automation platform. This position reports into the Aruba Global PLM organization and requires a person with in-depth understanding of cloud services, strong system level analysis and product management skills. In addition to the above, he/she will need to work with stakeholders across organizations to understand the current state of affairs and will work with the Engineering team to come up with proposals for a future state function, that would significantly enhance the Aruba customer experience for our traditional on-premise customers as well as our Aruba cloud customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute on the Integrated Operator - Connected Services Experience strategy and vision to integrate the NaaS experience with the HPE Greenlake
  • Conduct market in user research, document requirements, make trade off decisions on user adoption vs scale, and provide input into feature prioritization for major/minor releases
  • Define E2E UX workflows, write compelling EPICs and user stories, define quality/CX metrics and work on complex design problems requiring in-depth analysis and solution's
  • Partner closely with UI/UX design teams to build and articulate the customer experience value proposition through mockups, wireframes, sandboxes for rapid prototyping and persuasive storytelling.
  • Simulate customer experience adoption working with the development and field teams through controlled pilots, demos, tech field days, etc.
  • Work effectively in a team environment including colleagues, support teams and development engineers, and the Aruba field organization.
  • Determine need to escalate as necessary & be able to interact with Development & QA.
  • Interact with Engineering, Sales and Partner teams to drive resolution of deficiencies / bugs
  • Participate in solutions for knowledge sharing and provide cross-training to relevant groups as needed.
  • Independently lead and drive the end to end strategy and operational product roadmap for one or more complex products or a product portfolio.
  • Build and deliver the value proposition, target customer segments, and business case to bring innovative and disruptive products to market for a product portfolio with respect to the whole company product portfolio (i.e. Product configuration mix, Revenue/Margins, financials, market share).
  • Synthesize market requirements (MRD) into marketing/customer details through having intimate customer knowledge and business, financial and industry market acumen.
  • Guide key stakeholders on the portfolio strategy across all phases of the lifecycle (e.g., planning, development, launch, management, exit).
  • Create and drive goal alignment and collaborates across one or more products' value chain partners to optimize margins and enable success of products per plans across the product lifecycle. (ie. Engineering: product development, Supply Chain: SKUs, inventory and Marketing: marketing and pricing strategies and Go To Market Plan).

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering or related field of study. MBA or advanced degree in computer science or engineering preferred.
  • 8 years of work experience in SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, or NaaS, with strong background in network management and security frameworks.
  • 5 years of work experience in network design, Implementation & Operations
  • Technical understanding and knowledge of the relevant industry

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Basic understanding of product development. Strong product management background.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to promote teamwork and collaboration across organizational boundaries; build consensus; creates an open, team environment where differences can be discussed and resolved constructively.
  • Ability to multi-task and work well within a dynamic, fast-paced organization
  • Leads initiatives by example, creative problem solver with positive can-do attitude.
  • Extensive team skills and ability to cross functionally drive/influence work through others, ability to mentor and lead teams to achieve results for complex, ambiguous projects.
  • Extensive skills in cost efficient solution building, financial performance metric creation and analysis
  • Extensive business acumen and knowledge of root cause analysis and problem detection.
  • Technical understanding and knowledge of the relevant industry and ability to provide product specific technical training to the team.

Actual offer may vary from this range based upon geographic location, work experience, education/training, and/or skill level. If this is a sales role, then the listed salary range reflects combined base salary and target-level sales compensation pay. If this is a non-sales role, then the listed salary range reflects base salary only. Variable incentives may also be offered. Annual Salary: $124,500.00 - $286,300.00
