Scope of Work: Design-Build Replace B993 Roll-Up Service Doors, Naval Air Station (NAS) Whidbey Island, WA. Project includes the replacement of existing manual roll-up doors with new motorized roll-up doors with new rails. Project also includes the replacement of existing exhaust fans in the laboratory, lighting replacement, as well as elastomeric coating on the existing skylight system throughout the active dental clinic space. Scope includes specialty doors, electrical, mechanical, and architectural. Compensation: $95,000 - 110,000 annual DOE Job Duties: As the SSHO, you are responsible for the overall management of the Contractor's Safety Program. You have the authority to act in all safety matters for the Contractor, Herman Construction. Your, or your designee’s, duties include maintaining current records of safety operations, activities, training, monitoring, and inspections performed, including the work of subcontractors and suppliers. The referenced records shall be on an acceptable form and shall include factual evidence that required safety training, monitoring and inspections of the work site have been performed. Minimum Required Certifications/Education:OSHA 301st Aid, CPR, AED5 years experience with projects of similar size and magnitudePhysical Requirements: This position requires the ability to maneuver around work sites, see, hear, and verbally communicate with co-workers and clients. Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking or standing for prolonged periods of time; frequent opportunity to move about and to work outside the office environment for extended periods involving exposure to the elements with weather that will include extreme heat, cold, wind, rain or other inclement weather, walking over rough and uneven surfaces, and routine lifting of up to 35 pounds. If required, must properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times including but not limited to; hard hats, steel toed boots, eye protection, respiratory protection, and hearing protection. Working Conditions: Job is performed in a combination of office and outdoor site locations. The office setting includes exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse. Outdoor settings include walking, driving, and carrying supplies throughout all seasons with exposure to heat and cold conditions, and potentially wildlife.
