Bristol Bay Construction Holdings LLC (BBCH) is expanding its workforce! We are searching for a proficient Quality Control/Site Safety Health Officer to join our growing construction business line. This role is located in Tacoma, WA. Responsibilities This is a dual hat position for both Construction Quality Control Manager and Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO). As the QC Manager, your responsibilities include overall management of the Contractor's Quality Control (CQC) with the authority to act in all CQC matters for the Contractor, SES Fuels & Construction Services, LLC. Your, or your designee’s, duties include maintaining current records of quality control operations, activities, and tests performed, including the work of subcontractors and suppliers. The referenced records shall be on an acceptable form and shall include factual evidence that required quality control activities and/or tests have been performed. As the SSHO, you are responsible for the overall management of the Contractor's Safety Program. You have the authority to act in all safety matters for the Contractor, SES Fuels & Construction Services, LLC. Your, or your designee’s, duties include maintaining current records of safety operations, activities, training, monitoring, and inspections performed, including the work of subcontractors and suppliers. The referenced records shall be on an acceptable form and shall include factual evidence that required safety training, monitoring and inspections of the work site have been performed. Project Scope of Work Repair Tower Interstitial Decks Project, Madigan Army Medical Center, Joint Base Lewis McChord, Tacoma, WA 98431. The objective of this project is for the Contractor to provide all labor, materials, Equipment, and manpower necessary to repair the Interstitial Decks to hospital standards at Madigan Army Medical Center, Joint Base Lewis McChord, Tacoma, WA, in accordance with all Federal, State, Installation, and MAMC Codes and Laws, Safety Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures, and Manufacturer Requirements. Over the years due to general wear and tear, the lightweight concrete deck has failed in heavy traffic areas. This wear also creates dust issues in the interstitial spaces that could potentially spread to operational spaces of the hospital and clinic areas. The interstitial deck repair will be completed in ten (10) phases. Completion of this project will restore the interstitial decks to its original condition that it may be used for its intended purposes. Minimum Required Certifications/Education: USACE CQCM CertificationOSHA 30-Hour training certificateFirst Aid/CPR certificationsEM 385-1-1Construction training and experience requirements Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to maneuver around work sites, see, hear, and verbally communicate with co-workers and clients. Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining the physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking, climbing, or standing for prolonged periods of time; frequent opportunity to move about and to work outside the office environment for extended periods involving exposure to the elements with weather that will include extreme heat, cold, wind, rain or other inclement weather, walking over rough and uneven surfaces, and routine lifting of up to 35 pounds. If required, must properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times including but not limited to; hard hats, steel-toed boots, eye protection, respiratory protection, and hearing protection. Must maintain a constant state of mental alertness at all times. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Working Conditions Job is performed in a combination of office and outdoor site locations. The office setting includes exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse. Outdoor settings include walking, driving, and carrying supplies throughout all seasons with exposure to heat and cold conditions, and potentially wildlife.
