Accounts Payable / Accountant | Full-Time Position!
MSP Real Estate - Mendota Heights, MN
Salary: $54,000 - $60,000
MSP Real Estate continues to grow and is adding an Accounts Payable/Accountant to its accounting and finance team.
MSP Real Estate (MSP)/Heritage Senior Living (HSL) has become one of the Midwest's leading developers of senior housing communities, developing high-quality campus properties in strategic markets, and developing affordable housing communities in Wisconsin. We manage over 2,800 units of housing and continue to grow each year.
This full-time, hybrid remote position will be at the headquarters of MSP Real Estate in Mendota Heights, MN. The Accounts Payable/Accountant position will be responsible for recording and reconciling various types of transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing and approving invoices
- Processing checks
- Entering accounts payable
- Completing special projects as assigned
- Resolving account issues
- Insuring that proper accounts are charged
- Assist in improving efficiency within accounting department
- Working with property staff
- Maintaining property records and expenses
- Communicating with vendors
- Prepare monthly financial statements and bank reconciliations for designated entities
- Other duties as assigned
Education/Qualifications
- 2-year Associate degree, 4-year Bachelor’s a plus
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel
- Experience with accounting software, Yardi and PointClickCare a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
- Strong customer service orientation
