Overview

Mission: 

Drive significant and sustainable sales growth across a multi-brand, multi-location regional HVAC business within a rapidly expanding company.

Establish yourself as a strategic sales leader, fostering cross-departmental collaboration to optimize sales processes and achieve ambitious goals.

Attract, develop, and retain top talent to build a high-performing regional sales team. Implement a comprehensive sales training program to ensure consistent performance and accurate sales forecasting.

Responsibilities:

Develop and execute a regional sales strategy aligned with overall company growth objectives.

Design and implement sales-focused KPIs for HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical divisions.

Create a robust onboarding and training program for new hires, complemented by ongoing professional development opportunities for existing salespeople.

Establish a dedicated inside sales and business development team for internal lead nurturing and sales follow-up.

Conduct a thorough analysis of customer mix, profitability, and current pricing to formulate effective regional sales engagement strategies.

Craft compelling sales presentations that educate and empower customers throughout their decision-making journey. Rebuild the sales book and curate a content portal containing relevant sales materials.

Collaborate with local leadership teams to recruit, hire, train, and coach new sales team members.

Oversee sales team performance and partner with local leadership to ensure accountability to established standards.

Cultivate strong relationships across departments to foster a collaborative work environment.

Manage and expand existing retail partnership programs (e.g., big-box store lead generation and professional programs) to maximize sales opportunities.

Compensation:

We offer a competitive compensation package with a base salary, a commission structure tied to achieving performance goals, and a comprehensive benefits package (health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, 401(k) with employer match, etc.).

Reports to: Vice President of Growth

Qualifications and Requirements:

We are experiencing explosive expansion and need a strategic sales leader to develop and execute a winning sales plan to achieve ambitious revenue goals. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of success in B2C and B2B sales within the home services industry, with a strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical services.

  • Bachelors in Business Administration preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in B2C and B2B sales leadership, preferably within the home services industry (HVAC, plumbing, electrical a plus).
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets consistently over the past 5 years.
  • Experience building and leading high-performing sales teams of 10 individuals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and achievement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans, including market analysis, territory management, lead generation, and sales forecasting.
  • Experience in leveraging CRM and other sales technologies to optimize sales processes and track performance.
  • Strong data analysis skills and the ability to translate data insights into actionable sales strategies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex challenges in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to coach and mentor sales team members to ensure continuous improvement.
  • A passion for the home services industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. 
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions (M&A) integration is a plus.

Physical/Driving Requirements:

  • Ability to travel daily and spend most of the day in a vehicle.
  • Valid driver's license and no major driving violations.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.

Availability Requirements:

The Director of Sales role is a hybrid role with up to 50% travel expected to locations in Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and occasionally nationally.
