Someone who loves kids, is willing to learn and grow, and has great communication skills with children, families and coworkers would be the perfect fit!
Here We Grow is a privately owned center, with two locations in Fitchburg and West Madison, that serve children 6 weeks through 5-years-old. We have developed our own curriculum, using Creative Curriculum and Wisconsin Model of Early Learning Standards. The curriculum focuses on supporting the whole child through play and exploration, especially the social emotional skills children will use not only in kindergarten, but throughout their whole life. We are a Pyramid Model Implementation site as well, which is a social-emotional framework. We use common language posted in all classrooms.
While we have structure and curriculum in place, HWG strives to support the autonomy of a teacher. We love when our teachers have passions and skills they are willing to share with their children and colleagues. Basically, we provide the foundation of the classroom, you have the freedom to take it from there! We will provide you with planning time each week, and a monthly classroom budget.
Upon joining our team we would provide you with all of the trainings you need, time in several classrooms to learn our curriculum and common language, as well as learn from your peers. We will also give you 1:1 time with our curriculum coordinator to show you our curriculum and give you time to ask questions. Our curriculum coordinator supports teachers for continued growth. We never expect perfection, just the flexibility to learn and grow together!
