Position Summary:
This position will facilitate daily HR functions and administrative tasks as assigned by the HR Manager. There is a wide range of HR responsibilities with this role that cover administrative tasks as well as higher level HR decision making.
Position Responsibilities:
Respond to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests and provide assistance as needed.
Redirect HR related calls or distribute correspondence to the appropriate person on the team.
Maintain records of personnel-related data (payroll, personal information, leaves, turnover rates etc.) in both paper and the database and ensure all employment requirements are met.
Liaise with other departments or functions (payroll, benefits etc.)
Coordinates the recruitment/hiring process by sourcing candidates, assisting in shortlisting, issuing employment contracts etc. for entry level employees. Assist HR Manager with recruitment for higher level employees as needed.
ATS management for Blue Springs applicants, HRIS data entry for new hires or any changes employees may have.
Complete Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files.
Perform orientations, onboarding, and update records with new hires.
Assist in interpretation of policies with leadership as well as assist with delivering policy information to employees as needed.
Work closely with HR manager and Visa Programs manager on PA Visa program employee needs.
Initiate employee relation needs to assist HR manager, or when HR manager is not available.
Produce and submit reports on general HR activity.
Support other functions of HR as assigned.
Essential Skills:
Proven experience as an HR coordinator or relevant human resources position
Ability to demonstrate working understanding off human resources principles, practices, and procedures
Strong ability in using MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular)
Experience with HR databases and HRIS systems (ADP)
In-depth understanding of sourcing tools, like resume databases and online communities
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle data with confidentiality
Good organizational and time management skills
Qualifications:
BSc/BA in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred
2 years experience in Human Resources background
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
Able to follow the attendance policy.
Work in an office environment.
