Job Title: Retail Sales Associate

Job Location: McKinney, Texas, USA

Work Hours: Full time; 10 am - 6 pm, 5 days a week

SUMMARY AND OBJECTIVE

Herbal Goodness is seeking a Retail Sales Associate to assist consumers in finding and buying products from our store. Among their responsibilities are making sure the store is well stocked with products, offering assistance to customers as needed, and handling transactions like sales and returns. They will be in charge of managing a variety of sales tasks in a retail setting, such as completing transactions and offering customer support. You will have the potential to develop with our team as a Sales Associate while delivering exceptional customer service that builds client loyalty.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greeting customers when they walk through the door
• Providing accurate information and answering customers’ questions about specific products/services (e.g. product features, pricing, etc)
• Working with the POS system as the main cashier to process transactions, layaways, returns, and exchanges
• Cross-selling and Up-selling products
• Keeping the store floor area clean and organized at all times
• Ensuring shelves are fully stocked, assisting in maintaining the stock room, and notifying a superior when items need to be restocked
• Informing customers about discounts and special offers
• Providing customer feedback to the Store Manager
• Staying up-to-date with new products/services, merchandise promotions, advertisements, etc.
• Ringing up sales and arranging for delivery or pick-up of the customer’s order if needed
• Inviting the customer to join a loyalty program
• Fulfilling Inventory, product packing, labeling, shipping, and receiving.
• Entering sales data and customer data into the company database 
• Maintaining adequate change denominations in the cash drawer.
• Reconciling cash drawers and sales receipts
• Reporting issues with equipment
• Working as a team to meet store sales goals
• Handling customer complains
• Tracking transactions on balance sheets and reporting any discrepancies
• Baging, boxing, or gift-wrapping packages.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven work experience as a Retail Sales Representative, Sales Associate, or similar role
• Understanding of the retail sales process
• Familiarity with consumer behavior principles
• Knowledge of inventory stocking procedures
• Basic math skills
• Track record of achieving sales quotas
• Excellent communication skills, capable of building trusting relationships
• Ability to perform in fast-paced environments
• BSc in Marketing or a related field.
• Familiarity with POS (point of sale) systems and the ability to learn new technologies
• Excellent communication skills
• Cheerful working attitude
• Outstanding customer service skills
• Ability to up-sell and cross-sell
