We are seeking multiple persons for Welding & Assembly positions as a respected and integral member of our team! The experienced welder will use fixtures, devices, and clamps to assemble small and large metal products to drawings and per specifications. Products are recurring, high volume in production setting and low volume custom assemblies. Safe work practices are essential as is a strong attention to quality in fit and finish.

Responsibilities:

• Fit, assemble, and weld raw and preformed metal components into products
• Set components into fixtures and weld to specification
• Read drawings and SOPs and take or read measurements to plan layout and assemblies
• Determine the appropriate welding equipment and settings based on product requirements (MIG and TIG)
• Operate angle grinders to prepare and finish parts
• Align components using fixtures, calipers, rulers, and clamps
• Weld components using manual welding equipment and robots in various positions (vertical (up or down), horizontal)
• Follow drawings and SOPs to meet product requirements and production goals
• Inspect to confirm measurements and verify quality and accuracy
• Profession Certification (AWS) is a plus; company will pay to obtain as needed

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in welding, manufacturing, or other related fields
• Ability to utilize fixtures and work-holding devices is important
• Must be familiar with welding tools, procedures, and symbolism
• Must be capable to read and use designs, drawings and schematics
• Have the ability to handle physical workload including standing, bending, lifting, reaching, and holding
• Experience with and ability to be certified/ recertified for forklift driving is a plus
