The MedicalAssistant working under the supervision of the Physician, is able to provide health care assistance to individual patients and families as instructed by the Physician; draws blood and prepares specimens in treatment room; performs routine clinical procedures as directed by the Physician; participates in providing patient
education; enters appropriate documentation into patients' medical records; coordinates precertification for hospital stay and procedures; communicates with referring Physicians; assists with pharmacy
requests; answers patient questions; performs other duties as needed
EDUCATION & TRAINING:
Certified medical assistant preferred
EXPERIENCE:
Workplace experience and training
Knowledge to perform routine clinical procedures and provide quality healthcare assistance for patients as instructed by the Physician.
Clinical experience necessary
LICENSES & CERTIFICATION:
High School Diploma and graduate of an approved technical program, accredited School of Registered Nursing, School of Practical Nursing or State, or equivalent workplace experience and training.
