SUMMARY: Hennepin Healthcare is hiring a Clinical Associate (0.9 FTE: 9 shifts/pay period; 8 hour shifts) for our Ambulatory Float Pool team headquartered in downtown Minneapolis to work day shift (clinic placement potentially includes all community clinics). ***This position is currently Monday-Friday day hours but may expand to include evenings and weekends as we grow. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Rooms patients and obtains and documents vital signs, weight, height, head circumference (infants), and hearing and vision screenings - Prepares exam rooms for patients and sets up rooms for basic procedures - Cleans and/or sterilizes equipment to support infection control and OSHA standards - Stocks and organizes clinic supplies - Transports patients to and from tests - Assists patients to transportation as needed - Communicates observations and measurements outside of norm to RN or provider - Labels and delivers tissue and fluid samples - Initiates emergency response for medical emergencies and safety risks - Performs point of care testing, such as glucometer testing - Assists families with screening forms, such as developmental screen - Answers the phones, performs data entry, and greets patients - Simple appointment scheduling and limited registration tasks - Runs reports - Supports population health activities if appropriate, which may include outreach calls or care coordination - Other duties as assigned
