Position Purpose:

Provides leadership in shipping/receiving, warehouse, and material handling to meet the requirements of our customers, internal and external. Maintains a continuous flow of product, resolves issues quickly and according to policy.Leads the group in maintaining a safe work environment, maintaining, and improving quality, lean manufacturing, 5S and continuous improvement efforts.

Essential Functions:

·Manage shipping/receiving, material handling, material flow and freight traffic.

·Develop measures and processes to ensure customer metrics are proactively monitored.

·Oversee training of operations personnel

·Maintain/update SR/MH work instructions and assure that they are understood.

·Address equipment issues with maintenance.

·Understands what production requirements are and communicates them to associates, moving people as required to maintain balance.

·Evaluate current and new associates.

·Leads and facilitates daily shift start up meetings.

·Coordinate and control all documentation on the product coming in and out of the facility.

·Continually reviews area for safety concerns.Intervenes when associates are performing a task unsafely.

·Assure that all required bar code transactions are performed as required.
