We’re currently looking for an Occasional Babysitter in Long Beach, CA 90808

A lovely family in Long Beach, near the Los Angeles/Orange County line, is seeking an occasional babysitter for their 3 children, 18 month boy, 5 year old girl and 8 year old girl, to start as soon as possible. Backup care is needed 2-4 times per month on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays from 9am-1pm, or weekdays and weekends between 4pm-11pm. Candidates do not need to be available for all of these requests and must understand there are no guaranteed hours for this position. The family can provide at least 1 week's notice prior to when backup care is needed. The 18 month old is active and enjoys playing outside and going for walks. The 5 year old is easy going, enjoys arts & crafts, and playing with her older sister. The 8 year old is very curious and enjoys reading books and journaling. A great candidate will be engaging, fun-loving and interactive.

• Start date: ASAP
• Length of Position: Long term, minimum 1 year
• Schedule: Intermittent; there are no guaranteed hours for this position
• Compensation: $30 per hour

• Tuesday, 9am-1pm
• Wednesday, 9am-1pm
• Thursday, 9am-1pm
• Weekdays, 4pm-11pm
• Weekends, 4pm-11pm

Upcoming days/times care is needed:

• Thursday November 2nd, 4pm-10pm
• Saturday November 25th, 4pm-10:30pm
• Friday December 8th, 5pm-11pm
• Saturday December 16th, 4pm-11pm
• Saturday December 23rd, 6pm-11pm

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Diaper changing
• Engaging with the children; developmental activities, outdoor play, walks around neighborhood
• Light meal prep; i.e. mac & cheese
• Tidying up children’s spaces
• Tidying up from dinner
• Occasional driving; vehicle will be provided

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of paid professional toddler care experience
• Must be UTD on CPR certification or willing to renew prior to start
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must have a valid driver's license
