Salary Range: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 Salary

Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Director of Homeless and Housing Support Services will be responsible for the oversight, program development, planning, implementation, and evaluation of all Homeless and Housing Support Services programs.

Provide oversight to all Homeless and Housing Support Programs and ensuring successful implementation, evaluation, and coordination of services.

Ensure that programs are following funding regulations, program goals, and stakeholder expectations. Provide high level program development, goal setting, and engagement with external stakeholders specific to programs.

Collaborate regularly with agency management. Participate in regular Leadership Team meetings with the Executive Director, Director of Programs, Controller, Director of Development, Director of Human Resources, to discuss agency and programmatic strategy as well as issues relating to finances, human resources, and program operations.

The Director will collaborate with the Leadership team to align on strategy and ensure alignment with the agency values, mission, and objectives, including program development, participation in grant development, development of policy and procedures, etc.

Provide coaching and direct supervision to all staff managing the Homeless and Housing Support Services Programs. Provide regular and appropriate feedback including training, opportunities for professional growth, verbal, and written improvement plans when needed, and regular evaluations.
Monitor the agency's Homeless and Housing Support Services programs to ensure compliance with ethical and legal standards and to ensure that services meet or exceed contract, funder, and agency standards.

Responds to requests for information from the public, elected officials, and other City departments relating to proposed and contracted services.

Provide regular supervision to program managers, facilitate open communication, and provide regular team meetings with managers.

Assist program managers and clinical supervisors with crisis-related issues.
Responsible for management of program services at all HYC locations, which may also include management of services provided at various sites within the community.

Attend and support all county department and program related meetings.

  • *Responsible for the overall management of contracts, certifications, and relationships with all funding sources including county department and community-based partners.
  • Serve as the central point of contact for the agency regarding program services.
  • Monitor the fulfillment of department contracts and be responsible for overall auditing of contracts, including accurate documentation of all service activities, preparation of periodic contract reports, and compliance with all contract requirements in accordance with Federal, State, County, City, and agency guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in delivery of homelessness and housing
support services, human services, social work, or related field.
Masters degree strongly preferred. Bachelors degree in social services, business, or related
field required.
Demonstrated previous experience in the supervision and management of direct service.
personnel and community programs.
At least two (2) years of management experience with the responsibility to manage a team of
approximately 10 individuals.
Strong organizational, detail orientated, and time management skills.
Proven ability to work independently, effectively as an individual and part of the team.
Ability to meet the geographic range of the position. Position requires frequent travel throughout
Los Angeles County.
Ability to successfully pass a TB screening test.
Proof of U.S. citizenship or permanent residence.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings.
Valid California state drivers license.
Current auto insurance, and a good driving record.

PREFFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Cultural diversity and multi-lingual skills (Spanish-speaking preferred but not required).
