As a new Floor Manager to our Management Team, you will not be expected to know everything on your first day, but we hope that you will be eager and willing to learn everything! =) We are seeking dynamic leaders who thrive in a high volume, fast-paced environment. In order to be truly successful in this position, candidates will need to have at least 2 years’ previous experience in a similar role. We need leaders who are passionate about the restaurant industry and are committed to leading the FOH staff. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include the following:
  • Manages, directs and oversees general operations on a day-to-day basis.
  • Scrutinizes guest experience to ensure any below standard service is corrected.
  • Receives, reviews and acts upon complaints received from guests.
  • Conducts daily checks to ensure quality adherence and standards as well as overall cleanliness in the FOH.
  • Monitor employee performance and participates in employee reviews.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and appraisals; rewarding and disciplining.
  • Checks reservations.
  • Does FOH scheduling.
  • Approves stations.
  • Ensures side work is done and bar is properly stocked.
  • Ensures that employees look professional and have proper uniforms.
  • Performs and/or oversees FOH maintenance schedule.
  • Checks out Servers, Bartenders and Retail Bakery Sales Associates, solves shortages.
  • Ensures all safety and sanitation guidelines are followed.
  • Will adhere to the company attendance policy and dress code (proper uniform including non-slip shoes).
  • Other duties may be assigned.

  • Play an active role in the Management Team to continually improve overall business.
  • Must have working knowledge of serving, hosting, bussing, expo and bartending to assist in training and backing up positions when the need arises.
Education and/or Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in equivalent position with proven skills in successful cost and labor controls.
  • Hospitality management degree preferred although candidates with a combination of experience may be considered.
  • Food Manager Certification and Food Safety Certification required.

  • The noise level in the work environment is high.

  • Must possess the ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the function is mostly standing for long periods of time
  • The employee must be able to regularly walk, and use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • The employee is frequently is required to talk or hear.
  • The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Requirements:
The Floor Manager is responsible for ensuring that our guests are provided with excellent customer service, the staff is properly directed and the overall FOH is running smoothly..
  • Managers Host(ess), Waitstaff, Bartenders and Retail Bakery Staff.
  • Makes daily floor plans.
  • Overviews reservations and communicates with the BOH on upcoming reservations.
  • Sets the example to staff.
  • Closely follows opening / closing procedures.
