We are currently accepting applications/resumes for EXPERIENCED Pre-Engineered Metal Building Erectors for the Houma, La. and surrounding areas. Responsibilities may/may not be limited to the following:
- Job Scope:
- Responsible for the staging & erection of structural steel components & prefabricated metal building packages for industrial & commercial projects
- Duration of Job: Permanent
- Based on Job Performance
- Position Requirements:
- 1-2 Years preferred experience
- Ability to read and comprehend construction drawings
- Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedules
- Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions.
- Familiarity with hand & power tools
- experience a plus
- Experienced with operating construction equipment
- Strong oral & written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with others

- Prepare material prior to assembly
- Bolting /Torquing
- Hoisting and guiding components into place using cranes or telehandlers (Forklifts)
- Working from mobile elevated work platforms and operating them (Boom & Scissor Lifts)
- Rig hoist and move material
- Install vinyl backed building insulation, metal cladding, screw down and standing seam roofs
- Install insulated metal panels, windows, passage doors and roll-up doors
- Layout for and placement of anchor bolts also desired
- Safely transporting all required equipment and materials to job sites.

- Requirements:
- Lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds, and up to 90 pounds of material with assistance
- Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, squat, or kneel regularly, as well as climb stairs and ladders to complete tasks
- Ability to work outdoors in harsh weather conditions
- to work in varying hot and cold environments
- to work in an environment with exposures to dust, dirt and various other debris, metal and paint fumes, gases
