We are currently taking applications/resumes for an EXPERIENCED Heavy Equipment Operator for the Thibodaux and surrounding area. Duties/Responsibilities may/may not be limited to the following: 

• MUST have experience with operating an EXCAVATOR, SKID STEER, & BULLDOZER (1 year minimum preferred)
• MUST have pipe laying experience (1 year mininum preferred)
• MUST have CONSTRUCTION background (1 Year Minimum)
• Perform daily checks on equipment
• Communicate with concrete and/or pipe crews to accomplish task
• Required Skills:
  • Good verbal and written communication
  • Able to use good judgement and act independly
  • Experience with cutting trenches/slopes
  • Grading and excavation experience
• Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 LBS
  • Must have good endurance
• Knowledge of reading blueprints can be helpful
• Ability to coordinate with pipe crews while working inside trench or trench boxes.
• Will be required to lay pipe for underground storm or sanitation sewers, drains, and water mains.
• Ability to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
• Must be able to preform any combination of the following tasks: grade trenches or culverts / move and grade earth, position pipe, erect structures from the ground, move materials around the project.
• Must be able to pass drug screen.
• Must have reliable transportation (Will be required to travel up to a 60 mile radius)
• Duration of Job: Long term (Based on job performance)
• Pay: $22 - $26 (Based on experience) working 12 hour days with weather permitting
