Job Summary:
This position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties, such as maintaining, repairing, and rebuilding various production machines and equipment according to safety guidelines. Requires knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined and have repaired various types of equipment in a production setting such as conveyor and hydraulic/pneumatic systems. The perfect candidate will have repaired and maintain CNC machinery such as horizontal mills.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform light to heavy carrying and lifting (under 15 pounds up to 50 pounds and over), to stand and walk; use hands to handle, feel, or manipulate objects; reach with hands and arms; and see, talk and hear. Duties may also require, pulling, grasping, bending, sitting, pushing, crouching, crawling, twisting, kneeling, stooping, climbing stairs and ladders, walking, and reaching above shoulders. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Job duties will be performed while wearing protective devices/equipment, on ladders or scaffolding, in confined spaces, around moving objects or vehicles, and around machines with moving parts and objects.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to solvents, dirt, grease, oils, dust, constant noise, pneumatic vibration, irritating chemicals, dry atmosphere, silica, fumes, gases, and slippery/uneven walking surfaces. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee is exposed to marked changes in temperature and humidity, including winter cold and summer heat when performing various tasks. Work is performed inside and/or outside an office, production facility, stockroom, or vehicle. Tasks are performed while working closely with others or alone and may require working long or irregular working hours during the week and/or weekends.
