Hebrew Senior Care is Hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (PD) Near West Hartford, CT
POSITION SUMMARYProvides nursing service to patients and families in accordance with the standards of practice of a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Hebrew Senior Care's policies and procedures, State and federal regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide accurate, detailed, and timely documentation consistent with the plan of care and the nursing process.
- Prepare, administer, and appropriately document actions taken specific to the commonly prescribed oral, topical, subcutaneous and intramuscular medications. Observe, reports, and record adverse reactions to medications and/or treatment to the registered nurse
- Perform all skill, treatments, and procedures to the scope of practice as defined in the Nurse Practice Act in the state of clinical practice and adheres to the policies, procedures, and protocols of the agency
- Treat patients, family, and staff with courtesy and respect
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must Be Covid Vaccinated and boosted if qualified
- Provides and promotes on-the-spot leadership which facilitates the delivery of professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of patients.
- Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and family.
- Implements medically prescribed interventions.
- Required License or Certifications: Must have and maintain current licensure as a licensed practical nurse with CT DPH (out of state candidates must be able to apply for license reciprocity with DPH.)
- Ability to work in an assisted living setting.
- Unencumbered license as a LPN in the state of Connecticut that care is being provided
- 1 year of nursing experience required; 3 years preferred
- Adhere to HIPPA and maintain client confidentiality
