We are seeking Registered Nurses (RN) to join our Behavioral Health Hospital located in West Hartford, CT. We are hiring!
POSITION SUMMARY
Our Registered Nurses work in collaborative environments with strong interdisciplinary teams, focused on a patient centered care model in a richly diverse work space. Under the direction and general supervision of the Nurse Manager, the registered nurse utilizes evidence based practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, policies and procedures of the hospital and as directed by the medical staff. The registered nurse who through knowledge and ability uses the nursing process to develop a plan of care which includes standards of practice to meet the physical, emotional spiritual, cultural and educational needs of the patient and family.
SHIFT:
  • 2nd shift
  • We do offer nursing shift differentials up to $10 hourly!.
The Behavioral Health Hospital at Hebrew Senior Care specializes in serving older adults who are experiencing acute mental health challenges. Our hospital is designed to serve seniors who are experiencing acute behavioral decomposition and need a short-term behavioral inpatient stay.
The Behavioral Health Hospital at Hebrew Senior Care is our communities’ first choice for any older adult experiencing acute mental health challenges requiring a short-term, inpatient hospital stay.
We are one of the few behavioral health hospitals in Connecticut that serve adults 50 years of age or older. Patients admitted to our 38-bed behavioral health hospital are typically experiencing acute psychiatric symptoms or behaviors that interfere with their care. Whether an older adult is experiencing depression, dementia accompanied by behavioral disturbances or schizophrenia, anxiety, bipolar disorder or alcohol withdrawal the Behavioral Health Hospital at Hebrew Senior Care is subject matter experts in serving this vulnerable population.

Job Summary and Qualifications:
  • Provides and promotes on-the-spot leadership which facilitates the delivery of professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of patients.
  • Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and family.
