Caregiver/Direct Support Professional - **NO bathing, toileting, or giving medications!
Full-time/Part-time positions available - **Locations: Minnetonka, Plymouth, and Orono**
Monday - Friday day shifts, no weekends $18.00hr (starting)
What are were looking for?
Applicants must:
- Be 18 years or older, with a high school diploma and/or one year of experience of direct care with individuals with disabilities.
- US citizen
- Posses a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation, valid vehicle insurance, and maintain a clean driving record.
- Be able to pass a DHS background check and fingerprints.
What are the responsibilities/expectations of a Direct Support Professional?
- Assisting individuals to be more independent in essential life skills, and daily routines. Including, but not limited to, meal preparation, navigating the community, paperwork, and helping with basic homemaking services, such as; dusting, vacuuming, dishes and organizing
- Provides transportation
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with individuals, families, and team members
- Ability to demonstrate empathy, patience, and understanding towards individuals with disabilities
- Displays the qualities of the company’s core values including: enthusiasm, commitment, integrity, dedication, and compassion
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to protocols for the safety and well-being of those receiving services
- Is dependable and flexible, and has a passion for helping others
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques to address challenging behaviors
- Document services and events through our software program/apps
