Heartland Veterinary Partners is Hiring a Veterinarian Near Atlanta, GA

Cat Care of Vinings is very excited to add another veterinarian to our awesome team! We are a feline-only, AAHA accredited, AAFP Cat Friendly Practice that serves the Vinings, Smyrna, and North West Atlanta communities. We offer extensive wellness care, as well as comprehensive care for chronically ill patients, full digital radiography, echocardiography, ultrasound imaging (as well as US guided biopsies and aspirates), -scopy capabilites, top of the line in-house laboratory diagnostics and gold standard oral health care (oral assessments, digital dental rads, FME, etc) and medical grooming procedures.

Our doctors are supported by a confident support staff consisting of two LVT/CVTs and multiple technician assistants. They are well-trained, independent, and always providing reliable support to our DVMs. Our entire team is Fear Free Certified and always utilizes feline-friendly restraint. We are fortunate to also have an educated and compassionate client base who are willing to seek specialized services for their pets. Essential Responsibilities
  • Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.
  • Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results.
  • Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
  • Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
  • Provide counsel around pet end of life care.
  • Maintain patients’ medical records.
  • Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.
Requirements/Qualifications
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
  • Appropriate state licensure.
  • Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.
  • Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.
