Description
Position Summary:
The Program Manager - Finance & Accounting, under broad direction from the CFO, is responsible for ensuring the successful and timely completion of the internal projects that will advance the capabilities and efficiencies of the Finance and Accounting (F&A) team within HBS. Working across the various functions, the Program Manager will coordinate, direct, and implement agreed upon projects, while remaining aligned with the strategy, commitments, and goals of the overall organization. In addition, as the company continues to grow, this position will also lead integration efforts for any new acquisitions.
Roles and Responsibilities/ Essential Functions:
  • Maintain the strategic direction and corresponding long-term roadmap of the F&A function.
  • Manage the individual projects from concept creation through implementation.
  • Oversee and manage the integration of new acquisitions.
  • Build and maintain buy-in from key stakeholders for critical projects.
  • Facilitate the creation and maintenance of the project scope, goals, milestones, deliverables, detailed tasks and resource requirements.
  • Incorporate feedback and adjust project scope and direction as required.
  • Manage project teams and outside vendors to ensure successful delivery of project services and deliverables.
  • Lead and coordinate daily operations of project teams, analyzing workflow, establishing priorities, developing standards, and setting deadlines.
  • Identify, mitigate, and manage project issues and risks, including disruptions to project plans due to changing priorities / new acquisitions.
  • Meet with department heads, managers, supervisors, vendors, and others as needed to solicit cooperation and resolve problems.
  • Execute, monitor, and control project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Identify additional opportunities for project cost efficiencies and process improvements.
  • Conduct regular reporting to the executive team on progress of the various in-flight initiatives.

Required Experience:
  • 10 years' experience in project management, consulting, or equivalent
  • 5 years' Finance & Accounting experience
Preferred Experience:
  • Experience leading large projects / consulting like engagements
  • Experience with Information Technology Solutions
  • Experience in strategic planning, risk management and/or change management
Required Skills, Education and/ or Certifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, professional environment
  • Ability to communicate with customers, fellow team members and executive stakeholders
Preferred Skills, Education and/ or Certifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Accounting or Finance
  • Proficiency in project management and communication software tools -Microsoft Suite (MS Project, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel)
  • Course work or field experience in Computer, Engineering, Finance, Business, or related field
