Ensures that work/cleaning schedules are followed as closely as practical.

Reports all accidents/incidents to supervisor no matter how minor they may be. (Occurrences must be reported on the shift in which they occur.)

Coordinate daily laundry services with nursing services when performing routine assignments in resident living areas.

SANITATION

Cleans floors, including sweeping, dusting, and damp/wet mopping.

Changes chemical supplies contained in the machines in a safe and efficient manner.

Keeps walls and ceilings clean by washing, wiping, dusting, spot cleaning, disinfecting, deodorizing, etc.

Removes dirt, dust, grease, film, etc., from equipment or floor surfaces, using proper cleaning/disinfecting solutions.

Discards waste/trash into proper containers and replaces plastic liner in trash receptacle.

Sanitizes dirty linen pick up cart daily.

LAUNDRY SERVICES

Performs assigned tasks in accordance with established laundry procedures.

Picks up personal clothes, clothes from aides carts, etc. to wash.

Collects, sorts, and weighs soiled laundry, linens, garments, etc., and places in appropriate containers or assigned areas.

Sorts soiled laundry, linens, garments, etc., and separates those items that require special stain removal/treatment.

Sorts, counts, and washes soiled laundry, linens, garments, etc., in accordance with established procedures.

Presses/irons garments as instructed.

Assists with linen audits.

Folds, counts, stacks, hangs, and distributes clean laundry, linens, garments, etc., to residents daily and/or as instructed.

During emergency conditions, assures that clean laundry, linens, garments, etc., are distributed to designated areas as instructed.
