$45,000-$60,000 Annually

Responsible for assessing the need for recruiting, orienting, training, supervising, and evaluating the Heart of America Medical Center Volunteers and Activities Therapists. Advising the Administration on the use of volunteers, the trends in volunteer services, and the policies and procedures relating to volunteer services. Performs all managerial functions, such as budgeting, staffing and organizational control.

• Must be a qualified therapeutic recreation specialist or an activities professional who is licensed or registered in the State of North Dakota.
• OR has two years of experience in a social or recreational program within the last 5 years of which one year was full time in a patient activities program in a health care setting.
• Good communication skills and ability to motivate residents, work independently, be creative in planning and implementing programs is a necessary.
• Ability to perform a comprehensive, standardized assessment of each resident's functional capabilities and health needs.
• Nursing assistant certification preferred.
