HealthPRO Heritage is Hiring a Benefits Specialist - Greenville SC Near Greenville, SC

Overview

We are seeking a result-driven Benefits Specialist with a dynamic personality to join our team. This position requires strong communication skills and initiative. You will provide administrative direction and organization to the company's various employee benefit plans. Strong computer, clerical and communication skills are a must for successful candidacy. Knowledge of benefit administration is preferred. Good organizational skills with basic financial understand. Demonstrated competency in handling of confidential personnel matters. This position is primarily responsible to assist employees with questions concerning their benefit package, help with open enrollment and assist with general human resource questions from employees. What we offer: Great Hybrid work schedule with 2 days working from home and 3 days working from our office in Greenville, SC; competitive salary, paid time off, 401K, health/dental/vision and a suite of other benefits.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Performs customer services functions; provides information and assistance regarding benefits, enrollment, status changes, and related department services, forms or other issues; responds to routine questions, complaints, or requests for service; and initiates problem resolution.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for benefit programs, policies and processes
  • Assist with processing of personnel actions forms including but not limited to: pay changes, promotions, transfers, home facility changes, terminations
  • Assist with HR inquiries and soft transfers to appropriate HR staff member as it relates to the following: benefits questions, LOA, employee relations, and any other inquiry directed to HR
  • Acts as a liaison between HealthPRO-Heritage corporate, Home Health, Hospice and community administration and is able to communicate assertive and diplomatically
  • Is an active participant with the HR team in the creation, implementation and execution of HR team initiatives
  • Promotes positive employee relations by facilitating an atmosphere of open communication and problem solving
  • Monitors and assists with personnel compliance standards including required credentials
  • Participates in open and direct communication with supervisor through formal and informal contact
  • Qualifications

    Knowledge and Skills:

  • Associates degree or equivalent training
  • Assumes responsibility for ongoing continuing education and professional development
  • Communicates effectively and professionally in all situations with varying personalities of customers, potential new hires, employees and management
  • Able to adapt to changes in the work environment, can handle various demands and unexpected events
  • Maintain confidentially of company employee information
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completion
  • Demonstrates consistent multi-tasking and adaptability to work flows
  • Identifies problems and resolves them in a timely manner
  • Basic knowledge of principles and practices of human resources
