Job Description

Methodist Hospital is looking to hire a Cook – to join our – team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.

Position Summary:Our Nutrition & Food Services Cooks perform a variety of patient food services, cafeteria food services, catered events, and other special assigned tasks under the supervisor of our Nutrition & Food Services leadership team. The Cooks alongside of the Dietary Aides will be responsible for the preparation and execution of meals for patients & their families. The Cooks perform designated work and cleaning routines for the department. The Cooks will ensure that meals are prepared and presented with excellence as to provide quality customer service.

Work Schedule: FTE 0.75, 30 hours per week, days, 7:00 am - 2:30 pm.

Preferred Qualifications: High school education or equivalent preferred but is not required. Knowledge of food safety, sanitation and kitchen equipment is helpful. Ability to read, speak and understand English.
