The MT Blood Bank Supervisor is responsible for the daily operation, environment, work processes, and management of the transfusion services needed within the Blood Bank Department of our 25-bed critical access hospital.

Roles and Responsibilities :

• Ensure accurate and timely analysis and reporting of clinical samples, planning, coordinating and managing functions within the Blood Bank.
• Supervise testing, staffing, training, quality control, professional consultation, instrument maintenance and validation and other functions toward the attainment of these goals to ensure quality, service, and efficiency.
• Assist with staff scheduling, budgeting, and perform a variety of diversified and complex laboratory tests within the core lab, including processing various blood samples.

Qualifications :

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree in a Health Science or a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology / Clinical Lab Science.

Certification and registration such as, ASCP or HHS. Supervisors must be able to work in all areas of the clinical laboratory as a generalist.
